Website Cookie Policy

1 — Who are we?

The website https://www.formality.com (hereinafter the "site") is published by:

Formality, a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with a share capital of €1,000, whose registered office is located at 6 rue du Bois Sauvage, 91000 Evry-Courcouronnes, France.

Registered with the Evry Trade and Companies Register under number: 952 783 009.

2 — Use of cookies

The site does not place any cookies of its own and does not use any audience measurement, tracking or advertising tools.

Only two third-party services may place their own cookies: they are loaded only if you click on the relevant content (playing a video, opening the meeting request form).

3 — Why this cookie use and management policy?

For the sake of information and transparency, this cookie policy is intended to allow the user to learn more about the origin and purpose of the browsing information processed when visiting the sites, and about their rights.

4 — What are cookies?

Cookies are data used by a server to send status information to a user’s browser, and by that browser to send status information back to the original server.

Status information may include, for example, a session identifier, a language, an expiry date, a response domain, etc.

Cookies make it possible to retain, for the validity period of the cookie concerned, status information while a browser accesses the various pages of a website or when that browser later returns to that website.

Only the issuer of a cookie can read or modify the information it contains.

There are different types of cookies:

  • ◆session cookies, which disappear as soon as you leave the site concerned;
  • ◆persistent cookies, which remain on your device until they expire, or until you withdraw your consent to the placement of these cookies on our website, or until you delete them using your browser’s features.

5 — Why do we use cookies?

The only trackers that may be used on the site serve to:

  • ◆remember the language you chose, so the site is displayed in that language on your next visits;
  • ◆play testimonial videos, at your request;
  • ◆display and process the meeting request form, at your request.

6 — Which cookies do we use?

Partner / Provider / Processor Purpose Legal basis Retention period
Formality (browser local storage) Remembering your chosen language (French or English) Exempt from consent (display preference) Until deleted by the user
YouTube (Google), privacy-enhanced mode Playing testimonial videos, loaded only after clicking “play” Consent, expressed by the click Per Google’s policy
HubSpot Displaying and processing the meeting request form, loaded only after clicking “Let’s talk” Consent, expressed by the click Per HubSpot’s policy

7 — Information on the website

No cookie requiring consent is placed when you arrive on the site. The third-party services listed above are loaded only if you click on the relevant content: if you do not click, no third-party cookie is placed.

The publisher also informs you, during your visit, of the possibility of refusing the placement of cookies by configuring your web browser. To do so, several means are available, as defined below.

The user can configure their browser to accept or refuse cookies on a case-by-case basis prior to their installation. The user can also regularly delete cookies from their device via their browser.

For cookie management and user choices, the configuration of each browser is different. It is described in the help menu of the browser used, which explains how to modify your cookie preferences. For example:

In any event, the user can visit the help section of their browser to find out how their browser allows them to choose which cookies to accept or refuse.

It follows from the above that the storage of a cookie on your device is essentially subject to your will, which you can express and modify at any time and free of charge through the choices offered by your browsing software.

If your browser is set to accept cookies on your device, the cookies embedded in the pages and content you have viewed may be temporarily stored in a dedicated area of your device. They will only be readable there by their issuer.

Conversely, you can set your browser to refuse cookies. In this respect, please note that by setting your browser to refuse cookies, certain features, pages or areas of the sites may not be accessible, for which the publisher cannot be held responsible.

Remember to configure all the browsers on your various devices (tablets, smartphones, computers, etc.).

8 — For more information

For more information about cookies, you can visit the CNIL website at this address: http://www.cnil.fr/vos-droits/vos-traces/les-cookies/

9 — What are your rights?

In addition to the right to change your choice at any time as to whether a given cookie is placed on your device, you have the right to query, access, rectify, erase and port your data, as well as the right to obtain the restriction of its processing and a right to object to the processing of your data. You also have the right to define directives relating to the retention, erasure and communication of your data after your death.

These rights may be exercised with Formality (contact@formality.co), by email to dpo@datae-consulting.com or by post to Formality at: 6 rue du Bois Sauvage, 91000 Evry-Courcouronnes, France.
